We’ve partnered with local artists and community members, with Hollywood-based, Andrew Severns at the helm. Andrew’s murals feature cellular patterns in vibrant colors, symbolizing individual contributions to a greater whole.

Andrew Severns, a Hollywood-based muralist and sculptor, evolved from graffiti art to a community-centered approach to public art. He developed "The Canon System," a geometric method that emphasizes community engagement and serves as a vibrant, thought-provoking, and culturally reflective framework for public spaces. Andrew's murals feature cellular patterns in vivid colors, symbolizing individual contributions to a greater whole. His designs harmonize with existing architecture, evoking unity and inspiration.

"This year the California Arts Council budget was cut by $5 million leaving many arts related non profit organizations crippled. This is after vital advocacy efforts reversed the originally proposed $22.5 million cut. Decreasing funds along with the aftermath of the pandemic and the rise of AI have left the art market in catastrophe with many creatives abandoning their craft due to economic reasons–– along with the continuing trend of social media algorithms being increasingly vampiristic, oppressive to artistic expression and freedom of speech.  Still, many of us appreciate authentic human expression, understanding that its value raises in an increasingly superficial world.

The Hollywood Mural Project is my vision to unite communities through 'The Canon'—a system I designed to foster collaboration, celebrate human achievement, and transform public spaces into beacons of harmony. This is more than art; it's a movement which harnesses the power of unity and purpose to create something extraordinary together."– Andrew 'The Canon' Severns
