Join the Board of Directors
We're seeking dedicated, visionary individuals to join the Board of Directors at 11:11 Projects. As a highly active board, we work hands-on to support the organization’s growth and impact. This is an exciting and pivotal time: we’re opening a new community art studio, welcoming Resident Artists into private workspaces, transitioning to a member-supported model, and scaling our programming and reach.
If you're passionate about the arts, community building, and shaping the future of creative infrastructure in the San Fernando Valley and beyond, we invite you to step into a leadership role with 11:11.
Let’s build something transformative—together.
Serving on the 11:11 Board is a volunteer position. As a board member, you are donating your time, energy, and unique skills to help further 11:11’s mission of empowering communities through art and creative engagement. This could include offering your expertise in areas like fundraising, marketing, event planning, community outreach, or governance. While the role is unpaid, the personal advantages are meaningful—board members often gain leadership experience, expand their professional networks, deepen their involvement in the arts and community, and help shape the direction of a mission-driven organization they care about.
Board Member Responsibilities
All board members are expected to:
-
Attend regular quarterly board and monthly committee meetings
-
Actively serve on at least one committee
-
Set and pursue individual and collective goals aligned with 11:11’s mission
-
Support the growth of 11:11’s organizational sustainability and infrastructure
-
Work collaboratively with fellow board members, staff, and community stakeholders
-
Participate in fundraising, donor cultivation, and public engagement efforts
-
Serve as ambassadors for the organization in the community
The 11:11 Board has a $1500 give or get policy. This means that each board member is expected to either contribute $1500 personally ("give") or secure equivalent donations or sponsorships from others ("get") over the course of the year. This helps ensure that all board members are actively supporting the organization’s fundraising efforts and demonstrating their commitment to 11:11’s mission.
