About the event

This workshop provides an overview of successfully designing and producing large-scale pubic-art projects. Dina Fisher, a seasoned public artist, will share insights into applying for and managing complex projects, procuring reliable vendors, collaborating with government agencies, and incorporating stakeholder feedback. We’ll focus on crucial aspects of materials selection, engineering, designing for durability and public safety, plus meticulous planning of budgets and inventories. You’ll gain in-depth understanding of the intense professionalism required to translate your creative vision and artistic passion into successful public-art installations.

Dina Fisher an installation artist who creates richly nuanced public art. From playful murals to interactive sculpture, each project celebrates site specific culture and history. Melding the passion of a life-long artist with professional discipline from a high-tech design career, I create emotionally resonant artwork that engages audiences with exciting new technologies and materials.
