We're inviting artists, makers, food vendors, and community organizations to be part of it.

Art Installations + Activations

DEADLINE SEPTEMBER 20TH

Reseda Rising is the biggest night of art and community all year in the San Fernando Valley. On October 24, 5-10PM, a quarter mile of Sherman Way closes to cars for 8,000+ people, live music, and an art market that runs the length of the corridor. We're inviting artists to be part of it.

We're accepting two types of submissions:

1) Art activations - hands-on, participatory experiences the public can join in on-site, like a zine-making table, block printing, free face painting, or a collaborative piece the community builds together over the course of the night.

2) Art installations - large-scale work that people can walk into, under, interact with, or that simply transforms the street at scale. For installations, we especially want to see pieces you already have in storage; this is a call to bring existing work out into the street, not to fabricate something new.

All applicants must upload an image or rendering of the activation or installation being proposed, and submit a requested stipend amount with a brief explanation of your costs. Stipend requests are competitive: we're not looking for a $10,000 ask. The more cost-effective your production and the greater your impact on the street, the stronger your submission.
